When I order eyeglasses, how long does it take?

Depending upon the type of lenses and options ordered, the majority of complete glasses may be ready in 2-5 days. For more complex or specialty lenses, it could be a few days longer. While some retailers offer “One Hour” service, we would rather offer the finest quality custom made eyewear and get it right the first time. Your time is valuable and we don’t want you wasting it waiting around for glasses that are rushed just to beat the clock.

We also offer the service of special ordering frames for you from the dozens of manufacturers we do business with. If you know of a specific frame you want, ask us! Chances are, we can get it for you in a few days without an additional charge!

When ordering contact lenses, can I get them the day of my eye exam?

When ordering contact lenses, you may be able to walk out of the office with your annual supply the day of your exam, as we do stock hundreds of boxes of our most popular brands. If a special order is required, it is usually in our office within 2 business days. You also have the option when purchasing an annual supply to have your lenses shipped free of charge directly to your home or office. A new exclusive offer found only at Wing Eyecare is the Alcon Bundle, combining an annual supply of Air Optix contact lenses with 6 large bottles of either Clear Care or Pure Moist solutions, all shipped to your door free of charge!

Why do I have to pay sales tax?

Because Wing Eyecare has offices operating in Ohio and Kentucky, orders placed by patients who reside in these States are subject to sales tax.

The Contact Lens Reorder portion of Wingeyecare.com was designed to provide a convenient method for Wing Eyecare patients to refill their contact lens prescriptions. Online orders can only be filled for valid (non-expired) prescriptions that are on file with our offices.

Can I order contacts using another doctor’s prescription?

We can fill valid contact lens prescriptions from other practitioners in any of our 12 eye care offices. Simply bring the prescription in and we will create an electronic record for you and place your order to either be picked up at our office or shipped directly to you. We can also take these orders over the phone, providing you send us a copy of your prescription.

Can I purchase a different brand of contact lens on line other than the ones I was prescribed?

A contact lens prescription is based on the evaluation of your eye health, comfort and vision at the time of your contact lens examination. The doctor’s prescription is specific to the brand, type, power, base curve, and diameter of the best lens for your eyes. No different contact lens may be purchased without your prescribing optometrist re-evaluating that lens on your eyes (an additional fee may apply).

How do I take advantage of manufacturer’s mail-in rebates?

Our opticians will give you the rebate information for the lenses you purchased. Most vendors allow for on-line submission or mail-in submission along with the receipt (proof of purchase) and bar codes from the boxes you purchased. If you order lenses to be shipped directly to you, our opticians will give you the rebate form at the time of your exam.
